ELF Fantasy Manager: Start’em, Sit’em, Week 2

The first weekend of action in the ELF season is over and we as fans…and fantasy managers finally got our first look at the teams and star players in action across the league. 

Football is a game of matchups so let's see what players you might want to add or drop to your lineup this week. 

This year Fantasy Manager features weekly prizes, yearly prizes, and a lot of rewards for the best and even the luckiest managers out there.

Start’Em

QB Ben Holmes - Vienna Vikings (3,900 GC)

The Vikings got a road victory last week in Prague, but it wasn’t the most beautiful win. Penalties, dropped passes, and more held back the Vikings' typically explosive offense. This week as they prepare to take on the Rhein FIre in Week 3, look for Holmes and the Vikings offense to click against a weak Enthroners team. 

WR - Keelan Cole - Helvetic Mercenaries (2,500 GC)

The Mercenaires and Cole travel to Tirol this week to take on the Raiders. The ex-NFL pass catcher should be in line for a breakout game as the Swiss squad will be airing it out in what should be a competitive game between these two squads. Expect Weed to target Cole even more this week as they try and get the NFL talent going. 

RB Anton Witmuer - Nordic Storm (900 GC)

Witmuer is a value play at only 900 GC. With MVP running back Glen Toonga out for the season, look for Witmuer to take the Lion's share of the carries behind a stacked offensive line. Witmuer is no inexperienced rookie, having put several successful seasons together running the ball with a nice blend of speed and power in the Danish league. 

Sit’Em

Tomiwa Oyewo - RB - Stuttgart Surge (3,000 GC) 

I know what you’re thinking.. Oyewo is a stud and looked great last week. Well, watching Paris’s defense I am hesitant to take any of their offensive  opponents at this time. The Musketeers have star players at all three levels of the defense and maybe the best team speed in the secondary in the league. 

QB Jakeb Sullivan - Berlin Thunder (3,100 GC)

What goes up, must come down. Even after an absurd seven touchdown performance last week, I don’t see Sullivan having the same success against the Munich Ravens. Munich is a different team then Cologne and have a lot of experience and talent in the secondary that should make things tough on the veteran QB. 

QB Reid Sinnett - Madrid Bravos (3,800 GC)

The former NFL passer entered the ELF with a lot of hype. After one week and mustering only 13 points on offense, the jury is still out. This week things get tougher for Sinnett facing off against a Frankfurt defense that should be eager to play better following a tough loss to the Surge.
