Berlin Thunder @ Nordic Storm - 0:35
The Nordic Storm continue their dream start to the 2025 season, earning their third straight win with a dominant performance against the Berlin Thunder. In their first-ever home game, the Swedish-Danish franchise gave fans plenty to cheer about with a convincing all-around victory.
All three phases in control
From the beginning, Nordic Storm took control in all three phases — offense, defense, and special teams. The Thunder tried to manage the clock with long drives to keep Storm’s offense off the field, and early on it worked to some degree. But the momentum shifted quickly.
A blocked field goal attempt turned into a huge play when Luke Glenna returned it for a touchdown. That was the turning point, as Storm's offense found its rhythm, and their defense continued to shut down the Thunder. Berlin had to punt often, committed turnovers, and lost key players due to injuries — including star receiver Bryce Goggin and quarterback Jakeb Sullivan, who didn’t return after halftime. Backup Ferras El-Hendi couldn’t get much going either.
Storm stars step up again
On the other side, the Storm showed off their offensive depth. Homegrown wide receivers Simon Føns and Jakob Green made impact plays, while A-import Brendan Beaulieu once again stood out with strong catches and chemistry with quarterback Jadrian Clark. The 2023 MVP remained flawless — finishing with three touchdown passes and no interceptions.
The Nordic Storm now stand at 3–0, leading the North Division and heading into their Week 4 bye with lots of confidence.
Berlin Thunder drop to 1–2 and will face the Hamburg Sea Devils next week — a crucial opportunity to respond after a tough defeat.
