On the way to the Championship Game in their own stadium, Stuttgart Surge have made further progress with their squad planning. The team from the West Division has extended the contracts of three wide receivers.

Emil Rabin only caught two passes in two games last season. Nevertheless, the 23-year-old Homegrown was able to gain 71 yards and score a touchdown. Before moving to Stuttgart in 2023, Rabin played for the Nuremberg Rams and one year at Graceland University in the America Athletic Conference in the United States.

"Last two years we felt short of our goal. This year we are coming for it and I can’t wait to contribute to it. Shoutout to the OFC and all the fans", says Rabin. He adds: "Cant wait to feel GAZI rocking. It's gonna be a special season this year!"

Leonell Fritzen has also played for Surge in the ELF. The 24-year-old also primarily played as a back-up, but can even report one appearance in a playoff game. Before his transfer in 2023, Fritzen played for the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns, with whom he was CEFL Champion and GFL Bowl Champion. His goals seem clear: "CG25 in MHP Arena is the goal. Let us accomplish an unforgettable season this year!!"

Timon Stüwe, meanwhile, has known the European League of Football for a little longer. From 2022 to 2023, the 23-year-old played as a back-up for the Leipzig Kings. He previously performed for the Oldenburg Knights, Emsland United and Marburg Mercenaries. The wideout can also play as a long snapper.
